Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sponsorship Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing sports sponsorships across multiple commercial franchises and other sports IPs. Additionally, you will oversee franchise sponsor marketing initiatives and identify new alliances and partnerships to drive revenue growth and enhance brand presence. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sponsorship Sales: - Develop and execute sponsorship strategies for all commercial franchises and a marathon, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. - Identify and pursue sponsorship opportunities, including securing partnerships with corporate sponsors and brands. - Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, managing their expectations and delivering exceptional service throughout the sponsorship lifecycle. - Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sponsorships, analyzing ROI and providing recommendations for optimization. 2. Client Servicing: - Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including franchise owners, marketing teams, and event organizers, to ensure effective collaboration and execution of sponsorship strategies. - Act as the main point of contact for sponsors, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and needs promptly and professionally. - Represent the organization at industry events and networking opportunities, building new relationships and staying updated on industry trends and best practices. 3. Franchise Sponsor Marketing: - Collaborate with franchise partners to develop and implement marketing plans that leverage sponsorships to increase brand visibility and revenue generation. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams to create compelling marketing campaigns that promote franchise sponsors and drive consumer engagement. - Monitor and track sponsor marketing activities, ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled and sponsors receive the agreed-upon benefits. - Regularly communicate with franchise sponsors to address their marketing needs, provide performance reports, and identify additional partnership opportunities. 4. Intellectual Property (IP) Management: - Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential licensing or merchandising opportunities for our IP assets. - Negotiate and manage licensing agreements and partnerships to ensure compliance and maximize revenue generation. - Collaborate with legal teams to handle IP-related matters, such as infringement issues, contract negotiations, and licensing agreements. 5. Alliances & Partnerships: - Research, identify, and cultivate potential alliances and partnerships that align with the company's values, objectives, and target audience. - Negotiate and establish strategic alliances and partnerships, including licensing agreements, co-branded campaigns, and promotional collaborations. - Collaborate with legal and finance teams to draft and review partnership agreements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and protecting the company's interests. - Monitor and evaluate the performance of alliances and partnerships, tracking key metrics and recommending adjustments to maximize outcomes. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, sports management, or a related field (master’s degree preferred). - Proven experience (3-5 years) in the sports industry with a focus on managing sports sponsorships, preferably in commercial franchises and/or running events. - Strong knowledge of sponsorship principles, best practices, and industry trends. - Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful sponsorship strategies and activations. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with sponsors, partners, and internal stakeholders. - Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and metrics to evaluate sponsorship performance and make data-driven recommendations. - Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently and meet deadlines. - Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify innovative partnership opportunities. - Passion for sports and a deep understanding of the sports industry.
