WMS Functional Consultant

Job Location : Noida sector 62 WFO Responsibilities : - Thoroughly understand and analyze diverse warehouse business processes, including inbound, outbound, inventory management, and other related operations. - Elicit and document the business requirements of the client organization with precision and clarity. - Prepare comprehensive blueprint documents outlining the proposed WMS solution and implementation strategy. - Lead and participate in the full implementation lifecycle of WMS projects, from configuration to go-live. - Validate client report requirements and ensure the WMS can generate necessary operational and analytical reports. - Validate any proposed customizations to the WMS system, ensuring they align with business needs and best practices. - Develop and deliver effective training programs to end-users on the WMS functionalities. - Provide timely and efficient support to end-users by addressing and resolving day-to-day queries and issues. - Actively participate in meetings with clients to discuss project progress, requirements, and potential challenges. - Gather detailed information on clients' current business processes and meticulously prepare comprehensive documentation. - Collect and analyze detailed business requirements, translating them into clear and actionable documentation for the implementation team. - Demonstrate experience in the complete end-to-end implementation lifecycle of any ERP, software, or WMS system. - Utilize hands-on experience in PL/SQL for data analysis, scripting, and potentially minor customizations or integrations. - Apply prior experience working with any of the leading ERP or WMS platforms such as Manhattan, JDA (Blue Yonder), or Infor. Technical Competencies : - Warehouse Business Process Understanding : Comprehensive understanding of various warehouse operations and best practices. - Business Requirement Analysis : Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document complex business requirements. - Blueprint Preparation : Experience in creating detailed blueprint documents for software implementations. - Project Implementation : Hands-on experience in implementing software solutions, preferably WMS or ERP systems. - Report Validation : Ability to understand and validate client reporting needs. - Customization Validation : Ability to assess and validate the impact and necessity of system customizations. - End-User Training : Experience in developing and delivering effective training to end-users. - End-User Support : Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve end-user queries and issues. - Client Interaction : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client meetings and relationship management. - Business Process Documentation : Skill in gathering information and preparing detailed documentation of current business processes. - Business Requirement Documentation : Skill in gathering information and preparing detailed documentation of business requirements. - End-to-End Implementation Lifecycle Experience : Demonstrated experience in all phases of a software implementation project. - Hands-on PL/SQL Experience : Practical experience in writing and executing PL/SQL queries for data analysis and potentially minor development tasks. - ERP/WMS Experience (Manhattan/JDA/Infor) : Prior experience working with at least one of the mentioned ERP or WMS systems (Manhattan, JDA, Infor). Key Accountability : - Experience : 4 years of experience as a Functional Consultant with a focus on WMS or ERP systems. - Warehouse Business Process Knowledge : Strong understanding of warehouse operations and best practices. - Business Analysis & Documentation : Proven ability to analyze and document business processes and requirements. - Implementation Lifecycle Expertise : Experience in participating in and contributing to the full software implementation lifecycle. - PL/SQL Proficiency : Hands-on experience with PL/SQL for data-related tasks. - ERP/WMS Platform Experience : Prior experience working with Manhattan, JDA, or Infor systems. - Communication & Client Management : Excellent communication and client interaction skills. Preferred Skills (Optional) : - Experience with specific modules within Manhattan, JDA, or Infor WMS. - Knowledge of integration methodologies for WMS systems. - Experience with data migration and conversion activities. - Familiarity with supply chain management principles (ref:hirist.tech)
