Leasing Consultant - Bilingual Spanish

Job Description Job Description Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a well-established apartment community to find a dedicated Leasing Consultant . This property specializes in providing affordable housing, including Section 8 programs, and is seeking a professional with experience in leasing, tenant relations, and housing compliance. The Leasing Consultant will assist prospective and current residents with the leasing process, ensuring compliance with Section 8 housing regulations and fair housing laws. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of residents. Bilingual Spanish-speaking candidates are highly preferred. Key Responsibilities: Assist prospective residents with the leasing and application process, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately. Answer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing information about available units, lease terms, and community policies. Verify applicant eligibility and income qualifications in accordance with Section 8 housing regulations. Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, tenant communications, and compliance documentation. Support current residents by addressing questions, concerns, and maintenance requests. Conduct property tours and provide information to potential tenants. Assist with outreach efforts to attract new residents and maintain occupancy goals. Qualifications: Previous experience in leasing, property management, or affordable housing is strongly preferred. Knowledge of Section 8 housing regulations and tax credit properties is a plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office and property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio). High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in a leasing or administrative role within the housing industry preferred.
