Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - ETL/Datawarehouse Testing

Job Title : Senior ETL QA Engineer Location : India (Remote) Mode of Work : Remote Contract : 6.Months to 1.Years Experience : 8-12 Years Job Description : We are looking for a highly skilled Senior ETL QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ETL QA testing, Python scripting, and hands-on experience with Snowflake. Candidates with a background in the Banking and Finance domain will be preferred. Key Responsibilities : - Develop, execute, and maintain automation scripts using Python to validate ETL processes and data pipelines. - Perform end-to-end ETL testing to ensure data quality, integrity, and performance. - Conduct advanced-level SQL queries to validate data transformations and ensure alignment with business requirements. - Design and execute test cases for Snowflake data warehouses and cloud-based ETL processes. - Identify, log, and track defects to closure while maintaining clear and concise documentation. - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve issues and improve overall testing strategies. - Work closely with data engineers to test and validate data mappings, transformations, and integrations. - Generate test reports and dashboards to communicate the progress and outcomes of QA activities. - Support regression testing and test automation for existing ETL pipelines. Required Skills and Qualifications : - Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Experience : 8-12 years of QA experience, with a focus on ETL testing. Technical Skills : - Expertise in Python scripting for automation. - Strong knowledge of ETL testing processes, methodologies, and tools. - Proficiency in Snowflake and cloud-based data warehouses. - Advanced-level SQL skills for writing complex queries and validating large datasets. - Familiarity with ETL tools and frameworks. - Domain Knowledge : Preferably from the Banking and Finance domain with an understanding of domain-specific data processing needs. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Skills : - Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Knowledge of other database platforms and testing tools. - Exposure to data visualization tools for reporting test results (ref:hirist.tech)
