Workday Extend Developer - Integration & Configuration

We are actively seeking a skilled and certified Workday Extend Developer to join our client's dynamic HR Tech team. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Workday Extend development, configuration, and integration-playing a key role in extending the capabilities of Workday HCM beyond its native features. This is a hybrid role available in multiple metro cities, and it offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects that impact global HR operations. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Workday Extend applications to enhance existing Workday functionality and solve business challenges. - Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications within the Workday Extend framework. - Configure and implement custom solutions using Workday's app builder, business objects, services, and custom logic. - Integrate Workday Extend solutions with internal/external systems using Workday Web Services, REST/SOAP APIs, and integration tools. - Collaborate with functional teams (HCM, Payroll, Finance) to ensure business alignment and system performance. - Manage all phases of the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle), including requirement gathering, design reviews, code reviews, and deployment. - Troubleshoot technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and apply fixes in a timely manner. - Ensure compliance with Workday coding standards, security best practices, and performance optimization. - Stay up to date on Workday Extend updates, new features, and enhancements and incorporate them into solution designs. - Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of development and system architecture. Required Skills & Qualifications : - 3-8 years of total experience in Workday development, with at least 2-3 years in Workday Extend. - Workday Extend certification is mandatory. - Hands-on experience in building apps using Workday Extend App Builder, custom business processes, and integrations. - Strong understanding of Workday Prism Analytics, Workday Studio, and Report Designer is a plus. - Experience integrating Workday with external platforms (e.g, via APIs, web services). - Familiarity with XSLT, XML, JSON, and RESTful APIs. - Strong understanding of Workday HCM modules and their associated business processes. - Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences (ref:hirist.tech)
