About the Role : We're seeking a tech-savvy Business Analyst with proven experience in the iGaming sector to bridge the gap between business vision and technical execution. This role is critical to shaping next-gen products across sportsbook, casino, and betting ecosystems. Youll work with cross-functional product, engineering, design, and QA teams to transform client requirements into functional, scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities : - Engage with clients and internal stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate technical and business requirements - Convert complex iGaming concepts into structured BRDs, functional specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria - Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum teams through the entire product development lifecycle (discovery to release) - Create and manage wireframes, process flows, feature specs, and documentation using industry-standard tools - Analyze and translate data flows between platforms (e.g., sportsbook odds feeds, bonus engines, player wallets) - Support UI/UX planning, sprint grooming, and QA validation with clearly defined logic and use cases - Monitor industry trends, competitive benchmarks, and regulatory changes (MGA, UKGC, Curacao, etc.) to inform product decisions - Work with integration partners (e.g., game providers, payment systems, data feeds) on functional alignment Required Skills & Qualifications : - 34 years of experience as a Business Analyst (with 12 years in the iGaming or sports betting domain) - Deep understanding of sportsbook and casino platforms, player journeys, RTP, odds APIs, bonus & loyalty systems - Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and participation in sprints, standups, retrospectives, etc. - Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, Lucidchart, and Google Workspace/Excel - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills translating tech jargon into business value Bonus Points (Nice to Have) : - Experience with fantasy sports (DFS), betting analytics, or risk management tools - Ability to run SQL queries and perform basic data analysis to support product decisions - Understanding of gaming compliance standards across jurisdictions (e.g., AML, GDPR, licensing bodies) (ref:hirist.tech)
