Tanzu Platform Support Engineer - VMware Platform

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tanzu Platform Support (L2) Engineer to join our team in Navi Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud technologies, with a focus on VMware Tanzu. You will be responsible for managing and supporting our Tanzu platform, ensuring its stability, performance, and security. In addition to technical expertise, the candidate should possess leadership qualities to manage a small L1 support Responsibilities Platform Management : - Manage vSphere with Tanzu user roles and workflows. - Administer NSX Manager for networking within the Tanzu environment. - Configure and manage vSphere Namespaces for resource isolation and management. - Manage Container Registry for vSphere with Tanzu workloads, including image storage and access control. - Integrate and utilize Terraform with Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) for infrastructure as code. - Handle Storage Management in vSphere with Tanzu, including provisioning and Deployment and Management : - Deploy workloads to vSphere Pods, ensuring optimal performance and resource utilization. - Deploy and manage Virtual Machines (VMs) in vSphere with and Leadership : - Provide Level 2 technical support for the Tanzu platform, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues. - Lead and manage a small team of L1 support engineers, providing guidance and mentorship. - Collaborate with other teams, including development and operations, to ensure smooth platform operations. - Document procedures, best practices, and knowledge base Skills & Requirements : - Minimum 5 years of overall tech support experience. - Minimum 2 years of experience supporting cloud platforms (e.g., VMware Tanzu, AWS, Azure, Skills : - Strong understanding of VMware vSphere, Tanzu, and Terraform. - In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes concepts and best practices. - Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration. - Solid understanding of networking principles, including virtual networking and security. - Proficiency in troubleshooting complex technical issues in a cloud : - Certification in any cloud platform is required. - Tanzu certification is highly : - B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or IT Skills : - Ability to lead and manage a small L1 support team, including task delegation and performance management. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Strong customer service : Only candidates with a B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or IT will be considered (no exceptions) (ref:hirist.tech)
