Job description : About the Role : We are looking for a highly motivated Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership, and problem-solving skills to drive the success of engineering projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and ensure delivery of high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities : - Lead and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. - Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. - Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and project roadmaps. - Drive best practices in coding, architecture, and design patterns to improve system scalability and maintainability. - Mentor and coach engineers, providing technical guidance and career development support. - Ensure adherence to agile development methodologies and continuous improvement practices. - Identify potential risks in project execution and proactively implement mitigation strategies. - Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the team. Required Skills & Qualifications : - 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 3-4 years in a leadership or managerial role. - Strong proficiency in tech stack Java, Python, React, Node.js, MERN/MEAN. - Experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture. - Solid understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and software development best practices. - Proven ability to mentor engineers and foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience in leading high-impact projects in a fast-paced environment. - Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes). - Prior experience in hiring and building high-performing engineering teams.
