Data Engineer - SQL/Python

Job Title : Data Engineer Location : Navi Mumbai (client location) Experience : 4-6 years Employment Type : Contractual About the Role : We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Python and SQL, and experience in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to ensure data availability, reliability, and quality across our systems. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and deliver effective data solutions. - Optimize and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for performance and accuracy. - Develop and manage data integrations from multiple sources into data warehouses/lakes. - Monitor data pipelines and ensure data quality and consistency. - Support the implementation of data governance and security best practices. - Document technical designs, processes, and workflows. Required Skills & Qualifications : - 4-6 years of hands-on experience in a data engineering or similar role. - Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, data manipulation, and automation. - Advanced knowledge of SQL, including complex queries, optimization, and performance tuning. - Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and data warehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift). - Understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks and best practices. - Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect) is a plus. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure). - Knowledge of data modeling and data architecture principles. - Exposure to data analytics tools or BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
