Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CT Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Baltimore, MD 21215 Description: 3/12s Friday-Sunday 7p-730a Min. 2 years experience, will accept 1st time traveler Required Certs: BLS, AART, AART advanced cert Must have MD LIC in hand prior to start Performs cat scan procedures using prescribed techniques. Reviews requisitions to ensure completeness verifying patient name, diagnosis, description of requested exam, etc.; adjusts equipment and selects appropriate technical factors to produce proper radiographic exposure; utilizes standard positioning techniques to obtain an optimal diagnostic image. Selects appropriate protocol for each CT scan procedure; ensures proper levels of density and contrast are utilized to obtain and optimal quality image. Performs scanning procedures of various organs to localize site of pathological process. Complete examination in a timely manner, orders IV and oral contrast in powerchart. Documents administration of contrast and scans paperwork into Cerner. Perform exam completion, complete screenings/consents, and paper scanning in a timely manner.
