Interim Management Accountant

Job: Interim Management Accountant Location: St Albans Day rate: c£350 Length of contract: 3 months We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interim Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team for 3 months. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial support, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and assisting in strategic planning and decision-making. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and present timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts. Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on financial performance, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement. Provide financial analysis and support for business decision-making, including cost-benefit analysis, investment appraisals, and pricing strategies. Liaise with external auditors, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and facilitating the year-end audit process. Manage and mentor junior finance team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. The ideal candidate will have: ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualifications or equivalent. Proven experience in management accounting, financial analysis, and budgeting within a commercial environment. Strong proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
