Job Description
At Grupo Planeta, we are looking for a Quality Manager to join our team in the Rome Business School. Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance and Policy Development: Develop, implement and continuously improve the internal quality assurance system including policies, processes and procedures. Support the design and evaluation of the value proposition and the academic programs to ensure they meet established academic standards and best practices in higher education. Conduct regular audits and reviews of academic programs, courses, and assessments to ensure compliance with institutional and accreditation standards. Collaborate with senior academic leaders and Accreditation Manager to ensure alignment with accreditation requirements and industry standards. Monitoring and Reporting: Implement systems to monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of teaching, learning, and assessment across the institution. Analyze data and feedback from students, staff, and external stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in educational delivery. Prepare reports on learning and assessment performance for senior management, highlighting trends, challenges, and opportunities for enhancement. Learning Technologies and Methodologies: Stay up to date with the latest developments in learning technologies, digital platforms, and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student learning experiences. Provide expertise and support to academic staff in the adoption of new learning technologies and approaches to teaching. Collaborate with learning designers and faculty to create engaging and effective online and hybrid learning environments. Lead initiatives that promote the integration of digital tools and resources into the curriculum to foster active learning, collaboration, and student engagement. Training and Professional Development: Lead training sessions and workshops for academic and administrative staff on best practices in teaching, learning, and assessment. Develop and deliver professional development programs to support faculty in enhancing their pedagogical skills and adopting new teaching technologies. Support faculty members in areas related to curriculum development, assessment design, and student-centered teaching practices. Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the institution, encouraging the use of feedback and evidence-based practices to drive change. Foster a collaborative approach to problem-solving and innovation in the enhancement of teaching and learning outcomes. Requirements: Education: A Master’s degree or equivalent in Higher Education, Educational Leadership, Learning Technologies, or a related field. A Ph.D. is a plus. Experience: Minimum 4-year experience managing quality processes. Expertise: Strong knowledge of quality assurance frameworks, accreditation processes, and educational standards within higher education. Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with the latest learning technologies, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and digital tools that support student engagement and learning. Analytical Skills: Excellent data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret student feedback, assessment results, and other performance metrics. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences. Leadership: Proven ability to lead projects, influence change, and collaborate across teams. Personal Attributes: Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized with a passion for continuous learning and improvement. A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
