Charities Lawyer

THE ROLE For a Charities Lawyer with a commercial law background, to be responsible for providing legal advice and solutions to charities, not-for-profits, and educational institutions on a range of matters, including: Formation and incorporation of charities Mergers, collaborations, and joint ventures Advising senior management teams, boards of governors, and trustees Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and agreements Advising on data protection and wider charity law and education-related matters Job responsibilities Advise on charity formation, mergers, collaborations, and joint ventures Counsel senior management teams, boards, and trustees on governance and legal matters Draft and review commercial contracts and agreements related to fundraising Provide guidance on data protection, charity law, and education-related issues Partner with the Head of Charities to deliver the department's strategy and improve processes Develop a specialised area of expertise within the Charities/Not-for-Profit sector ABOUT YOU With 4pqe and preferably with a commercial law background, you should have proven experience in all aspects of charities law Applications are invited from both private practice and in house lawyers.
