CAD Designer, Solidworks, Manufacturing, Stoke to £36K A leading leisure and technology company are requiring an experienced CAD Designer (CAD, Solidworks) to provide bespoke designs for internal and external customers and creating CNC programmes for all gaming equipment and R&D projects. Offering a functional and innovative solution to customer requirements while incorporating the latest technology and innovations, utilising both traditional and leading-edge materials and products. Responsibilities and Duties Develop the concept through artistic impression via CAD design to CNC program Create programming data for the CNC router in order to manufacture component parts. Responsible for transferring the CAD design to a CNC program (Solidworks) Generate product specifications and data to give support for Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain. Work closely with technical services to provide solutions for installation and presentation of new and updated gaming hardware. Provide product specification BOM’s and detailed information in support of Production, Sales and Marketing. Monitor manufacturing methods and materials in order to improve quality and efficiency of production. Update previous 2D drawings to Solidworks Review current designs and develop existing products, in Solidworks To carry out any other duties as may be reasonably requested in line with the business need. Ensuring key data, programs and designs are updated and made available for customer / internal sales review as required. All data backed up to prevent loss or restore due to accidental change. Develop an understanding of the BoM structure within the companies MRP system and be able to maintain BoM’s at a basic level Required Skills and Ability Qualification in industrial / product design ideally at degree level. Experience of Solidworks with Camwork or Alpha Cam. Working knowledge of Electrical / Electronic design / interface would be beneficial Excellent communication skills to both technical and non-technical internal / external customers. Working knowledge of ISO9001: 2012 would be desirable. Evidence of testing and proving new ideas/ concepts.(Solidworks) Strong Time management to deliver on agreed completion dates.
