LE1 and LE2 Linespeople / LinesmenWood Pole, UtilitiesKettering, Northampton, Cambridge45 hours per week, Monday to Fridays, overtime extra£23.00 for Chargehands, £21.00 for LE1, £18.00 for LE2 on a CIS Umbrella or Umbrella PAYE basis.Company vehicle provided with fuel card.12 months workJob Ref: J113658Our client is currently recruiting for LE1 and LE2 Linesmen to work on their UKPN Overhead contract.The LE1 Linesman and LE2 Linesman will work as part of a 2 or 3 person team changing poles and transformers. You will report to a Project Manager. Duties will include: A key part of an Overhead Line team to erect poles, change transformers and carry out any other overhead line work that may be required. Acquire, maintain and develop own competence in accordance with legislative changes and customer requirements. Work as part of a team to ensure the safe, effective and efficient implementation of company operations. Maintain awareness of and conform to company SHEQ policy and issued safety instructions. Maintain site safety at all times. Conform to all instructions stated in method statements and risk assessments. Report any concerns regarding SHEQ to the SHEQ team and your manager. Complete all work to high standards. Maintain in good working order issued vehicles, tools and equipment Requirements: Practical experience of Overhead Lines wood pole works up to 33kV. (essential) A strong understanding of DNO operations and safety rules; City & Guilds 2339 (formally 2322) or equivalent (essential) International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) for Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) certificate; (essential) Pole top rescue certificate. (essential) First aid at work; (essential) SHEA (Safety, Health & Environmental Awareness) Power (essential) Manual Handling Certificate (essential) Full UK Driving licence with C1E category (towing trailers) (essential) Any UKPN or DNO authorisation certification including receive Permit To Work up to 11kV or 33kV and live working LV, Work on Dead Networks) (preferred) NRSWA Operative (preferred) DNO LV Live Working (preferred) LV Switching & Linking (preferred) HV Switching (preferred) IOSH Working safely qualification (preferred) A HGV license would be advantageous but not essential C&G/NPTC Chainsaw qualification (preferred) Previous experience of working on Wood House Mast Structures is preferred; Would suit a Electric Lineworker, Distribution Lineman, Overhead Linesman, and Line Worker.To apply speak to Cindy AndersonWe also have roles in Project Engineering, Site Management, Operations Management, Site Engineering, Design, Health and Safety and Compliance
