Job Posting Title Data Business Partner and CoE Leader The challenge An exciting opportunity has arisen to contribute to Haier Europe We are looking for a Data Business Partner and CoE Leader to add to our team. Reporting to Haier Europe Group Chief Data Officer, as Data Business Partner and CoE Leader you will promote, validate and manage the project initiatives related to data framework. You will manage and promote innovative solutions, manage and monitor the use of information and promote strategic initiatives based on business stakeholders’ needs and their use of data and analytics. You will also define the guidelines related to data management and data architecture, acting as Design Authority. What you will do Activities and Responsibilities: Leading innovation within the business and in identifying opportunities for the business to create additional value through the utilization of its data assets and analytics. Maintain a deep understanding of our industry’s marketplace dynamics, take initiative to conduct exploratory data analyses and experimental designs, help the business to better understand trends and behavior within these markets and settle on the most suitable strategies to achieving our goals and targets. Proactively identify and monitor business data needs, ensuring alignment with specific and business-wide vision and strategies. Drive education and evangelization of data governance throughout the business, defining the architectural and delivery guidelines which you are in charge to monitor and evolve. Lead a team of internal and external resources, driving high performance and execution, while fostering their professional growth in view of creating and their career development. Seek continuous improvement of the business’s data analysis model, creating industry-leading performance through leveraging new and creative data sources, design and implement data visualization products, ETLs, dashboards and machine-learning models to support the business’s key initiatives and programs aiming to achieve overall objectives and targets. Match and optimize algorithms that are fundamental to the business’s products and services, to ultimately improve the consumer experiences. Work closely with our business functions and data team to help build data solutions that provide unique insights into our data. Model front-end and back-end data sources to help draw a more comprehensive picture of user flows throughout the system and to enable powerful data analysis. Build data pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate data from disparate sources. Develop models that can be used to make predictions and answer questions for the overall business. Work closely with other Data and Analytics Teams, inclusive of data analytics, data warehousing, and data engineering teams in creating big data applications through the utilization of structured and unstructured data, designing optimal data architecture, and experimenting on new visualization/machine learning techniques. Play an analytical role driving experimental data modeling designs within the business. Constantly run A/B tests in order to evaluate changes in the business’s product/services. Track the business’s performance against data analysis model and monitor trends in key business KPIs, providing valuable insights to relevant departments for overall business performance improvement. What you need to succeed Must have: Master’s degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, or another related quantitative field. A working experience of the same is also acceptable for the position. At least 7 years of working experience in a data management position, preferably data engineering. Experienced in scripting languages and have rapid prototyping skills, that is, fluency in SQL, Python, Perl, Java, VB, among others. Demonstrate good skills in SQL server reporting services, analysis services, Qlik, AWS architecture and services, integration services. Proven and successful experience in leading high-performing data analyst teams (internal and external). Leading through the successful performance of advanced quantitative analyses and statistical modeling that positively impact business performance. Technological Savvy/Analytical Skills: technologically adept and especially demonstrate an understanding of database and computer software. Communication skills, especially for explaining technical concepts to non-technical business leaders, highly collaborative. Ability to work on a dynamic, business-oriented team that has concurrent projects. Experience in business demand management and data solution design. Experience in building or maintaining ETL processes. Possess vast experience and expertise with probability and statistics, inclusive of machine learning, experimental design, and optimization. Outstanding skills in the use of all tools instrumental for the creation of both visually and verbally engaging reports and presentations, for senior data management, executives, and stakeholders. Good knowledge of English language both written and spoken. Nice to have: Skilled in statistical and modeling packages such as SAS, Statistica, Matlab, R, visualization and other advanced analysis tools. Expert in data management programming such as SQL, PL-SQL, and Python as well as being familiar with the workings of motion-tracking data and time-series analyses. Soft Skills: Communication Skills as the Data BP and CoE Lead must be able to convey important messages and information down the line in order to ensure proper execution of duties by junior data science personnel. It will also be a necessity for the Data BP and CoE Lead and in his collaborative capacity where information must be clearly articulated between the collaborating parties in order to ensure effective, lasting, and mutually beneficial collaborative relationships. Draft various reports and presentations that will be used by senior Data and Analytics management and executives for decision making and strategy development. Interpersonal Skills: a team-builder, be result-oriented, be proactive and self-driven requiring minimal supervision, be open and welcoming to change, be a creative and strategic thinker, have innovative problem-solving skills, be highly organized, have an ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks prioritize and meet tight deadlines, and demonstrate calmness in times of uncertainty and stress. People Skills: able to form strong, lasting, and meaningful bonds with others. This will make him an approachable and trustworthy individual who junior personnel readily follow and who senior Data and Analytics executives and stakeholders trust and whose insights they give credit to, making execution of his duties that much easier.
