Job Description

The IT Transformation Coordinator is the orchestrator in all transformation IT projects or activities with the goal of harmonisation and standardisation of the IT landscape in Daimler Truck. You will coordinate and manage across all phases of the application/project lifecycle, using cross-functional knowledge to demonstrate a clear understanding of upcoming changes, what work is required from the IT teams, as well as what impact this has on our business users and end customers. This is your chance to help shape the future IT landscape of Daimler Truck, fully simplifying and harmonising our current, complex landscape. PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE SUPPORT Support the coordination of IT transformation projects through effective project management. Fully Analyse and understand the impact of new proposals, projects and initiatives relating to the transformation, harmonization and standardisation activities. Ensure a deep understanding of the changes, document and communicate these with both the local and regional IT teams, as well as the business owners. Support, with key stakeholders, the definition of scope, cost/budget, resources required, time schedule, and detailed work allocation for the projects within the project portfolio. Supporting the strategic and/or periodic planning and reviews and effective governance for portfolios and programs updating portfolio governance tools. Ensure regular reporting on progress and status is provided, to enable full visibility. IT SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT BUSINESS CONSULTANCY Support the IT and business unit colleagues within IT related matters workshops and documentations review providing the necessary related IT subject matters expertise. Develop a thorough understanding of the Daimler Truck IT Landscape and supporting business areas. Understand the functionality contained within existing and new/offered systems. Understand impact and dependencies of any proposed changes on associated business functions/processes within the IT landscape. TRANSFORMATION STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT Work on alignment of systems to business strategy, collaborating with stakeholders identifying areas of improvement. Support and drive the overall improvement analysis in application quality, standardisation & consistency. Support in proposing technical solutions to achieve the goals, and manage & coordinate the implementations. CHANGE MANAGEMENT Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions during IT transformation. Support harmonisation process of IT landscape, address and document gaps and needed activities to ensure readiness of customer oriented business processes and IT infrastructure. Assist the business and service provider(s) in the preparation of User Guides and related user documentation. IMPLEMENTATION SUPPORT Ensure an onboarding into support activity has taken place, into the level 1 IT Support team, local application manager(s) or regional / central support functions as applicable. This includes fully documented processes and application landscape updates. During implementation, support the rollout and go Live activities within the project scope. Support and receive the requests and incidents from business areas, filter them and solving or reassigning to the proper support groups. Doing the follow up of all incidents or requests opened. SUPPLIERS MANAGEMENT Support the evaluation and selection of vendors and partners for IT transformation initiatives. Support in managing vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs). Support ensuring monitor vendors deliver high-quality solutions and meet project requirements. Ensure Purchase Orders are created as required, and invoices are reviewed & processed in a timely manner where applicable. Professional Skills: Educated to a technical degree level or relevant equivalent work experience. Project Management certifications (PMP/IPMA/PRINCE/SCRUM) or relevant equivalent work experience. Experience in the area of IT project management and transformation lead. Good knowledge of current and emerging analytical techniques. Good knowledge of IT technologies (Cloud, API, IAM, Virtual platforms, DBs, middleware, backups, networking, …). Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. Strong Analytical skills, with experience within IT Applications / Systems. Education and Certificates: First Degree in IT related subject/Business Management (Advantageous but not essential). English: Fluent >B2 or main language. Interdisciplinary Skills: Strong Customer Focus. Highly organised, self-motivated and results driven. Ability to work as part of a close-knit team, as well as on your own. Problem-solving skills. Analytical, structured, logical, lateral thinking. Well-developed interview skills and techniques. Confident communication, oral and written. Competent presenter – able to create and talk through slides. Ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels both inside and external of the organisation. Possibility of travelling in Europe.
