Manager - Network Security

Position Overview : We are seeking a Senior Manager Network Security to lead and elevate our global network security posture. In this strategic and technical leadership role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our network security infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing a global team, ensuring proactive defense mechanisms, compliance, and resilience across all network Responsibilities Security Leadership & Strategy : - Define and drive global network security strategy in alignment with enterprise security and business goals. - Lead a globally distributed team of network security engineers and analysts. - Champion best practices in network security design, segmentation, and policy enforcement. - Oversee configuration, deployment, and optimization of next-generation firewallsPalo Alto (primary) and Check Point (secondary). - Define and manage security rules, NAT policies, and VPN configurations across internal and cloud environments. - Evaluate new firewall features and manage firmware/software upgrades. - Establish and lead threat monitoring, detection, and incident response protocols. - Work with SOC teams to analyze alerts and investigate suspicious activity. - Coordinate rapid containment and remediation of security incidents. - Manage tools like IDS/IPS, NAC (Network Access Control), VPN gateways, remote access configurations, and Splunk for SIEM/log analysis. - Ensure secure network access controls and segmentation. - Oversee vulnerability scanning, patch management, and mitigation plans. - Collaborate with cloud teams to implement secure architectures on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP. - Define network policies, firewall rules, and routing controls in hybrid/cloud environments. - Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS). - Lead internal/external security audits, penetration testing coordination, and remediation. - Manage vendor relationships, budgeting, procurement, and contract negotiations for network security solutions. - Work closely with IT Ops, InfoSec, Infrastructure, DevOps, and Compliance teams globally. - Present risk analysis, strategic plans, and KPIs to executive leadership. - Mentor and grow team members; conduct performance reviews and career development planning. - 10 years of overall experience in network security, including 5 years in leadership or managerial roles. - Extensive hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS, Panorama) and working knowledge of Check Point firewalls. - Strong command over network protocols, routing, switching, and packet inspection. - Deep understanding of security concepts, such as segmentation, VPNs, NAC, IDS/IPS, and proxy/filtering technologies. - Proficient with SIEM tools like Splunk; familiarity with logging, alerting, and forensic investigation. - Experience in incident response, vulnerability management, and security operations. - Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and projects on a global scale. - Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills (ref:hirist.tech)
