Job Description Job Description Job Title: Desktop Support Technician I Location: 2400 Innovation Drive Auburn AL 36832 Duration: 3 Months contract to hire Shift timings: Monday – Friday - 8 AM – 5 PM EST. Job Description Is this position remote or in person? In-person What will the primary day-to-day responsibilities entail for this person? Deskside support of customers hardware/software issues What are the TOP 2 required skills that candidates must have? 1) Dependability: both to get work done independently, and for attendance for availability to work scheduled hours. Trusted to work proactively is a key attribute given limited site IT Leadership. 2) Soft Skills is a must for this role. Candidate must have the ability to work with strong personalities. Managing stress while being able to deescalate tense users is a key attribute. What will the work schedule be for this position? (M-F? 8-5? Overtime? Afterhours?) M-F 8hour shift with 30 or 60 min lunch. GE is generally looking for a start time between 7-9am. Will there be OC (on call) or differentials? No How many overall years of experience should this person have? 2 years if preferred. Do they need any specific certifications or education? Not at this time. If contract to hire what is the conversion rate? 21.00 p/hr How many miles per day will the contractor be driving? The only driving involved if driving to the site. What radius range should candidates be located from the job location? Approx 30 min commute. I will be running checks through Google Maps based on the town/zip they are leaving from to the site. What is the exact work location or city, state, or zip? 2400 Innovation Drive, Auburn, Alabama How soon will the candidate review and interviews start? 1st & 2nd weeks of April.
