Repairs Supervisor - Social Housing Location: Barnet Salary: £26ph Package Contract Type: Temp (6 months) - Perm Hours: Full-time Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Repairs Supervisor with plumbing background to join our team, overseeing reactive and planned maintenance within the social housing sector. This role involves managing a team of operatives and subcontractors to ensure that all repairs and maintenance work is completed to the highest standards while delivering excellent customer service to residents. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate responsive and voids maintenance within tenanted and vacant properties. Manage and support a team of operatives, ensuring productivity and high-quality workmanship. Conduct property inspections, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and in line with health & safety regulations. Work closely with housing officers, contractors, and tenants to resolve repair issues promptly. Monitor performance, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are met. Plan and allocate workloads, ensuring cost-effective and timely completion of jobs. Ensure compliance with housing regulations and company policies. Maintain records, complete reports, and provide updates to senior management. Requirements: Proven experience as a Repairs Supervisor within social housing. Strong knowledge of housing maintenance, voids, and repairs. Trade background preferred (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, electrical, or multi-trade). Excellent leadership and people management skills. Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance.
