Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team to work at a primary school in Wakefield. This full-time, long-term position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational journey of a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN).​ Position Details: Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire Contract Type: Full-time, long-term Start Date: As soon as possible Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (term time only) Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one support to a student with SEN, assisting with their learning and development. Collaborate with the class teacher to implement tailored learning plans. Support the student in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities. Encourage the student's social and emotional development. Monitor and record the student's progress, reporting to the SENCO and parents as required. Requirements: Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a school setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to student support. Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are desirable but not essential. An Enhanced DBS check on the update service will be required.
