Job Description

Murray Recruitment have a permanent opportunity for an experienced Book Keeper based in Glasgow. Working within the finance team your role will be to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with regulations. Responsibilities; Record financial transactions and reconcile accounts. Process invoices, manage payments, and monitor debtor/creditor balances. Prepare payroll data and manage pension contributions. Generate financial reports and assist with budgets and forecasts. Prepare and submit VAT returns; assist with year-end accounts. Support administrative tasks and maintain data confidentiality. Experience; Proven bookkeeping experience, experience using Business Central (Dynamics accounts software) is desirable but not essential. Strong understanding of VAT and tax compliance. Experience in working with CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and time management. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; strong communication skills. Communicates effectively at all levels. AAT Level 3/4 or equivalent; industry experience is a bonus. Enjoys working as part of team. Offering; Salary DOE. Hours Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm (1 hour lunch) 20 days holiday plus 9 statutory days. Death in service benefit. Employee Discounts Scheme.
