This is a new and first apprenticeship opportunity which is designed to provide a joint work based learning experience across North Lanarkshire Council and NHS Lanarkshire. What is the role? This is the first collaborative Modern Apprenticeship of its kind Working across both North Lanarkshire Council and NHS Lanarkshire. It is a hugely exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team which plays a vital role in North Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnership as a part of Health and Social Care Integrated Rehab Team. This progressive apprenticeship opportunity will be instrumental in helping us deliver a professional and effective service which maximises independence within homes. As part of the Locality Integrated Rehab Team, you will assist in providing a professional service, maximising service user independence. You will provide support to Occupational Therapists, liaise with agencies on behalf of service users and provide appropriate advice, guidance and practical support to individuals and their families. You will work closely with the individual, their families and wider support networks to ensure people feel supported and able to live comfortably within their own homes. What do I need? You don’t need to have any previous experience although you should have English and at least three other National 5 level qualification at a Band A - C. Candidates who have successfully completed a relevant Foundation Apprenticeship will also be considered. We look for Apprentices who can help us deliver our exciting ambition and plans for North Lanarkshire. During the selection process we’ll look for you to demonstrate the key strengths we know you’ll need to be successful; ambition, determination, adaptability, personality, ownership, be pro-active and show willingness to learn. In accordance with Government Guidelines, you’ll need to be aged 16-24 (at the point of starting the apprenticeship) or if you are disabled or care experienced, you’ll need to be aged between 16-29 (at the point of starting the apprenticeship). You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role.
