Senior Design Engineer Location: Coventry – Possibility of hybrid Working available after probation Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week (8 AM – 5 PM) Benefits: 25 days holiday bank holidays, pension contribution, career development opportunities, training & mentorship, company car/car allowance & fuel card About the Role: We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer with strong experience in temporary and permanent works design within tunnelling and underground structures. You will play a key role in shaping the design process within a rapidly growing SME that works with Tier 1 contractors and major infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: Leading conceptual and detailed designs for tunnels, shafts, and underground structures Reviewing and approving design calculations, reports, and drawings Supporting and mentoring junior engineers Managing external design consultants and ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations Attending client meetings and providing technical guidance What We’re Looking For: Engineering Degree /Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience in civil engineering design Experience in temporary and permanent works for tunnels, shafts, or underground structures Familiarity with Eurocodes and CDM Regulations Chartered Engineer status (CEng, MICE, MIStructE) preferred or working towards it Full UK driving licence Apply Now If you're a Senior Design Engineer looking for a dynamic role in a growing company, apply today
