Finishing Manager – House Building Bodmin, Cornwall Competitive Package Permanent Residential | House Building | Construction Exciting Opportunity for a Finishing Manager in Cornwall Are you a skilled Finishing Manager with a carpentry background and house-building experience? Do you take pride in delivering high-quality finishes and ensuring homes are completed to the highest standard? Our client, is looking for a Finishing Manager to oversee the final stages of construction, ensuring smooth handovers and exceptional quality standards. The Role: Finishing Manager As a Finishing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the final stages of housing projects, ensuring units are completed to specification, snag-free, and ready for client handover. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the finishing and snagging process, ensuring all work meets quality and LABC / NHBC standards. Manage subcontractors and trades, ensuring deadlines are met. Carry out quality control inspections, identifying and resolving defects efficiently. Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations on-site. Work closely with site managers, project teams, and customers to ensure a smooth handover. Maintain excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship. Report progress and issues to the contracts management. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience as a Finishing Manager in house building. Carpentry background (preferred) with strong knowledge of residential construction. Ability to identify and resolve defects, ensuring homes are handed over snag-free. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. SSSTS or SMSTS, CSCS Card & First Aid at Work Full UK Driving Licence (Essential) – travel between sites required. What’s on Offer? Work on high-quality residential developments.
