Engineer Selection Software (Development & Maintenance) Miejsce pracy: Świebodzice Technologies we use Expected SQL Jira Access About the project We are seeking a Selection Software Engineer to lead the development, maintenance, and data management of selection software for specific products. This role involves close collaboration with R&D, IT, engineering, and product management teams to optimize selection processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing project timelines, anticipating potential challenges, and proactively communicating any risks or delays to management. Your responsibilities Selection Software Development: •Defining and designing selection algorithms, including filtering processes. •Specifying the architecture of data processing and flow. •Defining and specifying tools and programs supporting the selection process. •Defining interfaces integrating supporting tools. •Creating and maintaining documentation for the HX32 and HX35 product selection process. •Validation and testing of implemented solutions. Software Maintenance and Optimization: •Collaborating with R&D and PLM teams on product extensions and new features. •Translating product requirements into technical specifications for the IT team. •Documenting selection rules, constraints, and calculation logic. •Analyzing reported issues and suggesting improvements. •Contributing to the development of new engineering methods for product configuration. Selection Software Data Management: •Collecting, processing, and inputting new data into the KSRT system database. •Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of data within the system. •Validating calculation results and conducting compliance testing. •Regularly reviewing and optimizing selection results. •Participating in annual batch testing to ensure the accuracy of results. Training and Development: •Conducting training sessions for sales and technical support teams on product selection. •Creating educational materials and documentation to support system users. •Enhancing technical advisory quality in product selection. Our requirements Requirements: •Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical design / thermal design and handling of data. •Master's in Thermal or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Specialized Knowledge: oExpertise in mechanical design, heat transfer, and thermal design. oStrong understanding of heat exchanger applications, operational conditions, and limitations. oProficiency in database management (Access, SQL). oBackground in R&D or Product Development (PD). IT Systems: oExperience with databases (Access, SQL). oProficiency in MS Office suite. oFamiliarity with Agile software development tools (DevOps, Jira, etc.). •Creativity and ability to think beyond traditional product lines and business units. •Excellent communication and collaboration skills. •Fluency in English. •Willingness to travel for business. •Valid driver's license.
