Azure Cloud Architect Location: Paris - REMOTE (Occasional site visits for important stages of the migration_ Job Type: Freelance Languages: English I am currently assisting a leading IT integrator that is working in conjunction with a company in the energy sector to help find a external Azure Cloud Migration Architect to work on a project with them on a freelance basis. The project will consist of a comprehensive migration from on-premise legacy Microsoft Systems to Azure cloud for the organization and all of their entities Glocomms have been recruitment suppliers for many years and we have been responsible for many freelance placements in their ranks. Responsibilities: Design, plan, and execute the migration of legacy Microsoft on-premise systems to Azure cloud. Develop and implement scalable, secure, and efficient cloud architecture solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the migration team. Work closely with stakeholders, including IT, security, and business units, to ensure alignment with business goals. Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of the cloud architecture and migration process. Identify and resolve technical issues related to the migration and cloud infrastructure. Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Implement and manage security measures to protect data and applications in the cloud. Develop strategies to manage and optimize cloud costs effectively. Design and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity. Conduct training sessions for internal teams to enhance their understanding and usage of Azure services. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on Azure. Expertise in Azure services and solutions. Strong understanding of legacy Microsoft systems and migration strategies. Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
