Job Description Job Description Machine Operator $19-20/hr Job Description Possess a working knowledge and experience with labeler operations; watching for jams and effectively threading wrap to prevent downtime due to error. Perform filler and filler line changeovers in a safe and efficient manner. Making adjustments to filler timing and filling, & check mat as needed. Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed. Analyze process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot. Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of product. Prepare Case Labels. Review product labels for accuracy to ensure box and bottles are coded correctly. Essential Skills 1 years of machine operating experience. 6 months of experience using a tape measure. 6 months of computer operation experience. Work Environment You will work in a manufacturing and production environment, which may include exposure to high or precarious places, moving machinery, marked changes in temperature and humidity, dust, odors, and fumes. The environment can be loud. Candidates working in Blending will be required to work outside all year round, climb on railcars, and attach large hoses to railcars, which is a very physical position. Candidates in Packaging will work indoors, where it will be very hot in the summer and normal temperature in the winter. They will inspect packaging machines, make minor adjustments to machines, and perform lockout/tagout procedures. The dress code includes shorts or jeans, a clean work shift, and steel toe or composite shoes. Team size consists of about 90 people on each shift. Shift options include A/B Shift: 6:45 am - 6:45 pm Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.75 - $19.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
