Job Description
Accountant (H6EY62-4D198330) Milan, Italy Salary: EUR40000 - EUR50000 per annum Position Overview: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within a multinational or tech company, and will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting the financial health of our EU operations. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with local regulations and company policies. Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and payment of invoices. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including the preparation and filing of tax returns. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information. Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and financial data. Expense Management: Monitor and manage company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings. Management of service providers: Coordinate with payroll consultant and outside accounting firms. Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including HR and operations, to ensure accurate financial reporting and support business initiatives. Required Skills and Competencies: Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or tech company. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of European (in particular Italy) accounting standards and tax regulations. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Italian native speaker. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in other European languages is a plus.
