Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

As a Supervisor, you are responsible for coordinating the efficient operation of the warehouse and managing a team of 25 to 35 employees. You are tasked with improving the efficiency and effectiveness of processes through coaching, implementing improvement projects (such as Kaizen and 5S) and ensuring compliance with procedures. You work closely with the Shift or Warehouse Manager and other departments to coordinate daily operations. In the absence of your manager, you fulfill his role. Furthermore, you are responsible for staff planning, maintaining KPIs and reporting any deviations. Job description Coordinating the efficient functioning of the department/team and motivating a team of 25 to 35 employees. Advising management on efficiency, effectiveness and process management. Carrying out assigned projects focused on the department or team. Coaching and mentoring employees, including determining their training needs. Implement process improvements, including Kaizen, 5S and other processes. Replacing the direct manager in case of absence. Ensure documentation and compliance with procedures. Planning and coordinating work in line with forecasts and objectives. Monitoring daily KPIs, quality measurements, timecard errors and productivity administration. Ensure follow-up of CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions) and 5Cs. Responsible for personnel interviews such as PMP, absenteeism interviews and corrective interviews. Collaborate with all operational departments for a smooth workflow and maximum synergy. Responsible for 5S and QEHS within the department. Logging and following up on IT tickets to resolve issues. Requirements Minimum 5-6 years of experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in a supervisory role. Experience working with warehouse and logistics systems. Good command of English, both spoken and written (Dutch is a big plus). Strong communication and relationship skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with employees and external parties. Experience in coaching and guiding employees. Experience with workforce planning and financial insight. Skills in process thinking and able to translate improvements into concrete actions.
