This is a position with grade 12 This position reports to Global Product Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive successful outcomes for projects involving the development of technology, products, and solutions. You will serve as the primary point of contact within the Research and Development department for product-related challenges and maintenance. Leveraging your expertise, you will conceptualize, design, and implement innovative solutions, transforming ideas into fully industrialized products ready for large-scale and, in some cases, tailor-made productions. The work model for the role is: LI-Hybrid. This role is contributing to the Electrification Installation Product division. Main stakeholders are product managers, operation manager, supply chain managers, suppliers, sales specialists, and customers. The product range of focus are electrical enclosures for automation applications (empty modular and monobloc enclosures prepared to host automation application devices like contactors, PLCs, drivers, etc.) and cable trunking systems (plastic wiring ducts for industrial enclosures, plastic wall trunking for commercial/office building, metal trunking and trays to support cables in industrial buildings and in outdoor heavy-duty applications). You will be mainly accountable for: Converting into practice the specifications received by the Product Management (PM) team by covering the design and engineering phases, evaluating “make or buy” options and ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements, making use of the official company’s procedures (i.e.: the Gate mode, GANTT, Six Sigma). Being pro-active in proposing improvements for the already existing products, finding new ways of solving problems by following your ideas, creating hypotheses, and defining ways to validate them. Being independent to connect with all the company’s departments and stakeholders (SCM, Operation, suppliers) to reach the assigned targets. Visiting the customers (panel builders, installers, system integrators, EPCs) to collect/propose solutions for them, in coordination with the sales/PM Teams. Maintaining recognized expertise in the assigned area of products/systems by integrating the latest developments in technologies, tools, and methodologies into your work. Keeping an eye on the Standards to which the assigned products are referring to in order to be always compliant. Providing support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources. Evaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices. Qualifications for the role You have a proven record of R&D and/or Engineering roles in a multinational complex organization. You have at least 5 years of experience in the same field. You are passionate about creating innovation, with strong negotiation and networking skills. You can manage non-hierarchical relationships with the stakeholders you will be in contact with. Available to travel for short trips in the domestic and international markets. Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
