Senior Project Development Manager - Italy

Senior Project Development Manager - Italy Taylor Hopkinson is recruiting a Senior Project Development Manager to lead the development of large-scale PV (photovoltaic), wind, and BESS projects from origination through to Ready-to-Build (RtB) status. Responsibilities : Identify and evaluate new project sites and development opportunities for PV, wind, and BESS installations across Italy, focusing on optimal locations for grid connection and resource potential. Manage the permitting process, ensuring all projects comply with local, regional, and national regulations. Liaise with regulatory bodies and municipalities to obtain the necessary approvals and environmental clearances. Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, government agencies, local communities, and other key stakeholders to ensure project alignment and support. Collaborate with technical and financial teams to assess project viability, including grid connection analysis, resource assessment, and financial modeling to ensure profitability and risk management. Lead all aspects of project development through to RtB status, ensuring projects are ready for construction with all required permits, financing approvals, and stakeholder agreements in place. Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications in renewable energy are preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project development within the renewable energy sector, with a proven track record in managing utility-scale projects. Deep understanding of Italian permitting processes, energy regulations, and market dynamics for renewable energy projects. Fluency in Italian and English is required.
