Job Description
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL: The successful implementation and follow up of new products/technologies and major design-change plans. Also contribution in achieving the targets assigned to the Cienega 2 facility complying with the set timing, budget and scope and the expected efficiency, quality and safety lineaments. Contribution in growth analysis for future requirements. Support and apply Project Management Tools and Resources alongside Manufacturing Methods and Lean Techniques to execute and innovate. Support the project management localization strategy PRINCIPAL DUTIES: Assist the Project Manager to establish project objectives, procedures, monitoring and data collection methods and performance standards complying with company policies. Work with plant functional groups including maintenance, production, product engineering, materials, quality, and manufacturing to ensure the project meets all safety, quality, and plant requirements and external suppliers as well. Present scheduled and necessary updates on project activities. Analyze manpower and machine performance. Create and administer proper testing methods and tools to monitor project performance. Inform the Project Manager promptly on any scope, schedule or budget change requests. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure expectations are met. Maintain budgetary, scheduling and project database oversight. Monitoring plant expansion construction. Report regularly to the Project Manager to keep him constantly informed of project progress, plans and problems that could affect costs, quality or schedule. Manage compliance, quality control, and quality assurance standards, specifications and tools. REQUIEREMENTS: 5 years of hands-on engineering and project management experience Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or technology discipline Experience working in a manufacturing environment Experience successfully managing multiple projects involving introduction of product or product changes into a manufacturing plant Solid understanding of identifying critical paths and project risks Ability to work effectively in a team environment, both as a leader/facilitator and a participant Excellent theoretical and applied knowledge of design and mechanical engineering concepts as well as cost reduction methodology Working knowledge of CAD/CAE engineering tools Working knowledge of quality processes and root cause analysis methodology Ability to travel to various plants, vendors, and customer locations when necessary, including international locations Ability to perform financial analysis and cost justifications Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks with minimal supervision Knowledge of Core Tools, Lean Manufacturing, PMP and Agile SCRUM methodology Strong English verbal and written communication skills
