Senior Disaster Readiness Operations Manager

Akkodis is partnered with one of the leading Canadian Banks to recruit a strategic hands-on Senior Disaster Readiness Operations Manager to join a growing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity (DR/BCM) team here in Toronto. This is more than compliance - it's about shaping how a global bank responds to real-world disruptions. You'll be part of an important program of continuous improvement that ensures the ongoing resilience of the organization as they become a digital enabled relationship bank. What you'll do: Design and lead different types of disaster readiness exercises to address plausible but severe real-world scenarios and risks. Prepare detailed reports on exercise objectives and risks for regulatory assessment. Align exercise and test requirements with regulatory guidelines. Organize and facilitate large groups of resources for efficient recovery operations. Research and remain current on industry standards for business continuity and promote continuous improvement of the Disaster Readiness Program. What you'll need: Must-have: Expert experience with Disaster Recovery and business continuity, especially with design, exercise planning and execution for disaster resiliency and recovery. Understanding of IT infrastructure including virtualization, databases, SAN and NAS storage, messaging, networking and Cloud. Proven ability to lead, communicate, and influence senior and executive-level stakeholders. Background in a regulated industry environment (banking or financial services preferred) Nice-to-have: DRI International certification for Disaster Recovery (CBCP, MBCP, ABCP, etc.) or other relevant certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, etc. Understanding of financial regulatory requirements for business continuity management.
