Be part of our fun, guest service focused teamReporting to the General ManagerA leading role to ensure the Hotel is in perfect shape for our customerCasual role The Maintenance Officer for the award winning Alamanda Palm Cove By Lancemore will be responsible maintaining a proactive preventative maintenance program, throughout the property. About The Role You will build a strong and collaborative relationship with all stakeholders in the business, including guests, Team Members and Body CorporateResponsible for implementing Cost control measures and administration duties Regularly inspect all work areas to ensure they are organized and well maintainedCoordinate monthly stock takes to record and manage all stock and ensure sufficient stock is availablePurchase equipment and select contractors which meet quality standards and comply with budget guidelinesManage a small team of maintenance staffCoordinate and Supervise external contractors when requiredThe successful applicant will also ensure company standards, systems and procedures being implemented and maintained About You Positive and optimistic attitude – "we can do anything" approachExperience with fixing day to day things – lights, taps, paint etcLogical approach to problem solvingAbility to coordinate contractors to get efficient resultsAbility to understand what the customer sees – and ensure our property is always kept to the highest standardKnowledge of a trade beneficialKnowledge of relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice highly regardedSupervisory experience of maintenance activities in a fast moving lean environmentIdeally experience in hotelsExcellent verbal and written communicationIntermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook) The successful applicant will have the support of the hotel's General Manager and The Lancemore Group's Management team to help them achieve success.
