Job Description

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO), a member of our client's management team, is responsible for defining and implementing the company's technological vision, supervising the technical teams, and guaranteeing the excellence of the solutions proposed. He or she steers the design, development and evolution of software solutions, while ensuring their alignment with the company's strategic objectives and those of the Group in the field of artificial intelligence. This is a newly created position. Your scope will include, but not be limited to: 1. Technology strategy: → Collaborate with other members of the management team (DG,VP, etc.) and the US subsidiary under Proxy Agreement to define the technological vision and strategy in line with product roadmaps and customer or market requirements. → Identify emerging trends in artificial intelligence, software engineering and IT infrastructures, and assess their relevance to the company. → Propose innovative technical solutions to ensure sustainable competitive advantage. 2. Management of technical teams: → Lead, organize and inspire a strong technical team of nearly 200 developers, data scientists, AI engineers, Cyber engineers, QA, etc. → Recruit, train and develop technical talent to build world-class teams. → Define priorities, allocate resources and ensure project coordination to guarantee quality deliverables. → Create a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement within teams. → Support managers in the development of their teams. 3. Development and Innovation: → Oversee the complete software development cycle, from design to deployment. → Guarantee the scalability, robustness and performance of the solutions developed, and to this end, implement best practices in terms of development (DevSecOps, MLOps, etc.), quality and security. → Oversee systems architecture and encourage technological innovation (e.g. microservices, containers). → Collaborate with product and business teams to transform customer needs into appropriate technical solutions. 4. Technical risk and cybersecurity management: → Anticipate technical challenges and propose solutions to address them. → Guarantee and maintain the security and resilience of products and infrastructures in the event of problems or incidents (e.g. disaster recovery plan, reverse engineering attempts, bypassing license rights), through the supervision of the Director of Cybersecurity and Information Systems. 5. Cross-functional communication and collaboration: → Actively participate in exchanges between technical, sales and product teams. → Support sales teams by providing technical expertise during presentations to key customers. → Explain the technical implications of strategic orientations and decisions to all stakeholders (customers, Group, etc.). 6. Partnerships and technology watch : → Identify new technologies and market trends that could improve products or processes. → Work with Group R&D and R&T teams and external technology partners to integrate emerging technologies. → Represent the group's technological excellence to prime contractors, schools and conferences. Your profile → You have at least 10 years' experience in a similar position with an Enterprise software company. → You have very good skills in managing technical teams on substantial scopes (at least 50 people), multi-sites and internationally → You know how to model technical organizations, and have already carried out organizational redeisgn and change management. → You have advanced knowledge of modern development technologies (microservices, APIs, containers) and cybersecurity issues → You have experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies → You have a very good knowledge of software industrialization and artificial intelligence solutions →You have a good ability to adapt in an agile start-up environment but also within a structured industrial group → You have good interpersonal skills, good communication and teaching skills → You are fluent in English and French. Successful experience within an American company or with American teams would be a plus. Please note: the ability to obtain Defense clearance is mandatory for this position.
