Project Manager

We are working with a Tier 1 main contractor that is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team on a full-time basis. This role will focus on the successful delivery of high-value infrastructure projects, including highways, roadworks, flood defence schemes, and navigation structures across Suffolk and Essex. Benefits: Competitive salary (negotiable based on experience) Company car or car allowance Generous pension scheme 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Life assurance cover (4x salary) Cycle-to-work scheme Professional development and career progression opportunities Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate site teams, operatives, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery Develop and implement method statements, risk assessments, and project management plans Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost control and identifying potential variances Manage project timelines, ensuring all works are delivered on schedule and within budget Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high standards of service and project execution Oversee design coordination processes to align with project objectives Engage and manage subcontractors to meet project specifications and expectations Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, supporting their professional growth Requirements: Proven experience as a Project Manager within the highways, structures, or flood defence sectors Experience working with Tier 1 contractors is highly desirable Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple teams, adapt to project changes, and drive results Relevant qualifications (HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent) Valid SMSTS certification and CSCS card First Aid at Work qualification (desirable) Must have the right to work in the UK Salary: Competitive and dependent on experience, to be discussed upon shortlisting
