Job Description
An established manufacturing business with a long history of success is currently recruiting for an Accounts and Sales Administrator to join their friendly Finance team located near to Bury St Edmunds. This role will be office based 5 days per week. The Accounts and Sales Administrator will support the Finance function by ensuring all accounting and sales admin processes have Standard Operating Procedures and a matrix showing deadlines when each task needs processing and ensure that they are updated. Key responsibilities of the Accounts and Sales Administrator role: Process purchase ledger invoices and expenses. Supplier statement reconciliation and resolution of any issues. Sales invoices/commercial invoices/credit notes using the ERP system and Sage 50 software. Credit control ensuring debtors are managed in accordance with company financial procedure. Collect data for and complete grant monitoring form (quarterly). Collate all delivery notes from stores. Liaise with stores if processing issues arise. Email supplier remittances daily. Reconcile supplier accounts monthly to ensure all invoices are paid. Chase overdue invoices internally, then with customers. Support the sales team by arranging customer on site visits to including booking meeting rooms, catering, accommodation, arranging merchandise and being available to provide support on the day of the visit or arrange cover when on holiday. Support the Export Manager with processing of sales opportunities on salesforce and liaising with Production Administration to publish order acknowledgements. Key skills/experience required for the Accounts and Sales Administrator: Experience of a minimum of one year working within an accounts role. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Previous knowledge of accounts receivable and accounts payable . Effective communication skills. Working knowledge of SAGE accounting systems, preferably Sage 50. Ability to work independently and under pressure. Ability to work closely with other team members to resolve customer issues. Good organisational skills and able to work in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Ability to apply good time management skills, as attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. Work on own initiative. Be Proactive and Reactive. Flexible. Deadline Oriented. Ability to problem solve. Able to take ownership of a task through to completion.
