HAYS Manufacturing is excited to partner with an exceptional client to find their next Sr. Automation Engineer . Our client specializes in designing, manufacturing, and installing automation, electrical, and control systems. Their expertise spans multiple industries, including forestry, sawmills, pulp and paper, pulp mills, SOP mills, mining, infrastructure, water municipalities, and food and beverage. They have projects across North America, including cement plants in Canada and the US, and are set to start a project in Asia. Your new role: The Sr. Automation Engineer is new role involves being the technical authority for projects, identifying processes for panel assembly, and ensuring product quality. Responsibilities include designing automation control systems, assembling them, and overseeing commissioning. These systems manage processes such as motion control, valve operation, tank level monitoring, process supervision, VFD, and motor control centers. Your Key Responsibilities: Serve as the technical authority for projects. Design and assemble automation control systems. Ensure quality and oversee commissioning. Control processes including motion, valve operation, tank levels, and supervision. Your skills: Electrical Engineer eligible for EGBC or ASTTBC. Experience in designing and developing automation systems for projects over $5 million. Background with Rockwell Automation Systems (PLCs & VFDs) is a MUST 6-10 years of experience in designing and installing electrical systems. Strong knowledge of DCS, PLCs (open to various languages, not just Allen Bradley), Drives, MCCs. Experience with automation integrators. Background in industries such as forestry, mining, water-waste, food, mills. Proficiency in EPLAN, AutoCAD, SolidWorks. PMP certification is an asset. Experience with Rockwell Automation Systems. Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills. Team player. Detail-oriented and organized. Problem solver and decision maker. Ability to multitask and adapt. Flexibility to travel for different projects. Strong presentation and time management skills. Influential leadership. Additional Information: You will be required to work Full-time office role with 10%-20% travel to the US. Your new Salary Package $100k – $135k 10% bonus medical plans RRSP.
