Tezlom are currently recruiting for an Outreach Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) support victims of domestic and sexual violence to work and keep victims and their families safe Position: Outreach IDVA -Independent Domestic Violence Advocate Location: Slough Job Type: Temp to Perm Hours: Full time hrs, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm Pay Rates: £13.50 Responsibilities Provide emotional support, information, and practical advocacy Help the client understand their options and make informed decisions Advocate on behalf of client to address their needs Maintain accurate and confidential case management records Attend Child Protection and MARAC meetings Facilitate safeguarding referrals Keep other agencies informed about important changes in a client's situation Skills and qualities Ability to work under pressure Experience dealing with caseloads Excellent literacy and written communication skills Strong listening skills Flexibility A commitment to equality Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative Able to cope with conflict and distress Demonstrable commitment to accountability Benefits: Excellent rates of pay inc holiday pay Full and Part time hours Days and/or Night shifts Excellent out of hours management support Dedicated Consultants Tezlom is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable members of the society and expects all employees to share this commitment.
