No Offer Description We are hiring 2 Researchers - Quantitative Policy Analysts at the Competence Centre on Microeconomic Evaluation (CC-ME) of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission at Ispra, Italy. 3 3 years contract, competitive salary welfare benefits. Essential qualifications: Ph.D. in Econometrics, Economics, Statistics or related fields, or a minimum of 5 years of research experience in these fields after the first degree giving access to doctoral studies. A strong background in econometrics, statistical methodologies and data analysis and at least 3 years of professional experience in the field of socioeconomic analysis for impact evaluation using microdata; hands-on experience in econometrics, statistical methodologies and data analysis, causal inference, and spatial statistics. Hands-on experience with data analytics and scientific programming tools such as Stata, R, Python. Experience in communicating (orally and in writing) research results in easy-to-understand terms. Ability to work autonomously, as well as in a team from diverse disciplines and cultural backgrounds. Ability to handle high workload when necessary and deliver under pressure. The working language will be English and a good knowledge of oral and written English (B2 level), communication and presentation skills are necessary. Assets: Scientific experience in working with microdata on firms outcomes and on environmental outcomes. Good publication record, including publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Experience in working with academic, governmental, private and international organizations. Experience in processing and analysing large amounts of data.
