We will become the primary provider of electrified last mile delivery services through connected solutions and vehicles for our B2B partners and customers. Being part of the Flexis team will offer you a strong opportunity to bring your passion, experience and startup mindset to move forward with a more sustainable environment Job Description The Head of Accounting is responsible for overseeing managing the accounting operations of the organization and ensuring its compliance with accounting local & international standards. This role ensures that financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting processes comply with all regulatory standards and company policies. He/she also manages the tax accounting processes. The ideal candidate will create, lead and mentor the accounting team, manage all financial reporting processes, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. Financial Reporting: Oversee and manage the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS. Ensure all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements are met. Prepare and present financial performance reports to senior management. Accounting Operations: Supervise day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and payroll. Ensure efficient month-end and year-end closing processes. Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data accuracy. Compliance and Audit: Oversee internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring audit readiness. Stay updated on changing accounting standards and ensure compliance with financial regulations. Implement policies and procedures to maintain financial compliance. Strategic Support: Partner with the CFO and other departments to provide financial insights that drive business decisions. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Identify areas for cost savings and process improvements. Systems and Processes : Optimize financial systems, tools, and processes to improve efficiency. Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of ERP and accounting software. Qualifications Technical skills Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting requirements. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks). Advanced Excel skills. Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders across all levels. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a focus on process improvements. Attention to detail. Leadership Integrity and Ethical Conduct Organizational and Time Management Skills Results-Oriented and Proactive Education: Bachelor’s Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification is required. Experience: Minimum of 8-1010 to 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, including leadership roles.
