Principle HSE Performance Saskatoon, SK Schedule: M-F, Professional Working Day (Hybrid) Contract: 9 months Introduction The Principal HSE Performance role, reporting directly to the Head of HSE, is responsible for driving excellence in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems and processes. This role provides deep functional expertise, enabling continuous improvement in HSE culture and supporting HSE professionals in influencing and enhancing performance. The role also plays a critical part in governing and improving HSE processes within Minerals America. Responsibilities Develop and enhance HSE functional processes to improve the effectiveness of HSE operations. Support the MA Head of HSE in annual planning, cultural development, and external HSE branding initiatives. Manage Business Operating Systems (BOS) and Operational Discipline cadences and routines. Govern improvement processes and systems within the HSE function. Influence and support diverse teams across multiple geographies and jurisdictions to drive HSE excellence. Ensure compliance with regulatory HSE policies and procedures while aligning with corporate standards. Utilize data analytics for performance measurement and continuous improvement initiatives. Foster a culture of innovation, stakeholder engagement, and trustful relationships. Drive change management processes within HSE functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Provide coaching and mentorship to develop HSE leadership and expertise within the organization. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Health, Safety, Environment, Technology, or Engineering (preferred). A minimum of 10 years of cross-commodity experience, including significant onsite experience in processing, underground, and/or open-cut operations. Strong leadership and business acumen, with a proven ability to influence at multiple organizational levels. Demonstrated success in HSE project management, systems implementation, and performance measurement. Strong understanding of lean principles and financial processes. Expertise in regulatory HSE policies, risk management, and compliance. Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills. What We Offer Why work with Brunel?
