Mechanical Work Planner

Job Title: Mechanical Work Planner Location: Durham Region, ON Employment Type: 1-Year Contract Industry: Nuclear Energy Rate: $50 - $75 per hour Primary Function: The Mechanical Work Planner is responsible for assessing work requests, developing detailed work instructions, and ensuring all necessary materials and documentation are in place for maintenance activities. This role involves coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance efforts while ensuring compliance with nuclear industry safety and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: Work Planning & Execution: Review and assess work requests, work orders, and preventive maintenance plans. Convert existing work plans into detailed, step-by-step work instructions. Conduct equipment walk-downs to verify deficiencies and confirm equipment configuration. Identify and prepare work protection requirements, including: Work Permits Confined Space Entry Hot Work Job Safety Analysis (JSA) & Task Safety Analysis (TSA) Radiological & Fire Protection Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) & Waste Handling Ensure timely issuance of work protection documents.
