Removals Operations Manager

Operations Manager - East Sussex A prominent worldwide removals company is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to help promote operational excellence. Based in East Sussex, this position demands a strategic leader to manage resources, organize relocation schedules, and optimize logistics and staff performance to ensure seamless service delivery. What You’ll Be Doing: Oversee daily removal operations, ensuring efficiency and good service levels. Supervise and teach warehouse employees, moving crews, and subcontractors to ensure smooth transitions. To make the best use of available resources, plan and schedule tasks at least seven days ahead. Collaborate with the customer service, transportation, and sales departments to ensure proper relocation planning. Manage the hiring, training, and performance of warehousing and removals team members. Monitor compliance with health and safety requirements and evaluate operational hazards. Ensure that vehicles are properly maintained, and comply with regulations. Monitor and assess operational performance to find areas for improvement. Oversee toolboxes, supplies, clothes, and budgets to properly control expenses. Act as the principal point of contact for the removals staff and handle any operational issues. Create and execute process enhancements to increase operational efficiency. Maintain solid working connections with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to guarantee seamless operations. What We’re Looking For: Proven expertise in managing operations in the removals and relocation industry. Strong leadership qualities, including the capacity to improve performance and team management. Expertise in logistics, transportation planning, and staff scheduling. Proficiency with Moveware and other move management CRM systems. Excellent problem-solving skills, including the capacity to successfully solve operational challenges.
