Junior Subject Matter Leader - General Ledger Miejsce pracy: Gdańsk Your responsibilities Act as a senior expert in Accounting within the assigned General Ledger Center of Expertise team. Provide functional guidance to Experts and Front Office colleagues in the Global Business Services environment. Contribute to expert communities through global calls and various communication channels. Collaborate with key business functions (e.g., IT, Controlling, Procurement, Product Supply, Legal) to ensure accurate accounting practices. Primarily work on project-based tasks, including system implementations, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Partner with the Global Process Governance (GPG) team to align with globally defined standards and processes. Liaise with the GBS network to address Record-to-Report (R2R) issues and implement necessary changes. Ensure internal control system effectiveness to maintain accurate financial statements in collaboration with internal teams and outsourcing providers. Identify business requirements and propose solutions aligned with the "fit for purpose" concept to reduce complexity and enhance efficiency. Manage escalations, identify potential issues, and drive change management. Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize quality and efficiency. Monitor and contribute to achieving Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for Accounting in collaboration with GBS. Lead the implementation and maintenance of the new Master Data Governance Framework (MDGF) and UBAY (Unique Charts of Accounts) connected to the CORE project. Ensure data quality in the General Ledger environment concerning the global Management Control Matrix for Internal Control System (ICS) purposes. Our requirements University degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Economics, or a related field. Certified tax advisor or accounting certification (preferred). Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Accounting, Controlling, Taxes, or Financial Analysis. Strong understanding of global accounting, controlling, and tax processes, including intersections with other business functions. Advanced knowledge of technical accounting and financial reporting under IFRS. Advanced expertise in enterprise-wide business systems, particularly SAP FI/CO modules. Ability to lead change initiatives, projects, and process improvements. Capability to collaborate across geographical, organizational, and functional borders. Strong prioritization and time management skills with minimal supervision. Foundational knowledge of Data Analytics, visualization tools, and methodologies for managing financial data quality. Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders and adapt to dynamic environments.
