DevOps Architect

DevOps Lead (Contract Position) Number of Positions: 1, 6 months to start, then FT perm conversation Location: Toronto, ON, CA Must be eligible to work in Canada Remote role, can work anywhere from Canada The client is building out a new Dev team to support one of its largest healthcare clients. This lead role will help support their DevOps team and be responsible for ensuring best practices, reviewing code and making adjustments, as well as hands on DevOps work. T his is a contract to hire role - candidates will be converted around the 6-month mark The incumbent will demonstrate a strong understanding of Health IT standards, including FHIR, CDA, and HL7 and be informed on industry trends, r egulatory requirements, and innovations in Health IT, with applied knowledge of healthcare interoperability to enhance intake processes and project outcomes. Requirements: • 2yrs of lead experience, or someone who has been a Sr. role for 5 years and is looking to get into a lead role • Python exp is a must • Experience supporting Java Apps • Exp across multiple cloud offerings (AWS & Azure preferred) • CICD pipeline support exp o At least five years of experience in a DevOps Engineer type of role or similar software engineering role is preferred. o Proficiency in Python is essential along with good knowledge of Java Applications. o Experience working with Gitlab CI/ CD, Jenkins is important. o Ansible, Terraform or Chef, proficiency in Java, Golang, AWS CloudFormation and Azure ARM Templates would be beneficial. o Able to prioritize and track multiple projects in parallel. o Highly responsive and have a customer-first mindset. o Knowledge of cloud service providers and best practices around implementation and configuration, preferably managing customer environments is nice to have but not required. o Knowledge of operating and maintaining production systems in Linux and public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, GCP or OCI is an asset but not required. o An understanding of Kubernetes or other Docker orchestration tools is nice to have but not required.
