Your responsibilities Lead and manage VAT compliance across the EMEA region, ensuring timely and accurate submissions of VAT returns and related filings. Provide VAT advisory support to the business on transactions, new ventures, and restructurings. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve VAT processes and implement tax-efficient strategies. Monitor and ensure compliance with changes in VAT laws and regulations across various jurisdictions within the region. Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities, managing VAT audits and disputes as necessary. Provide training and guidance to internal teams on VAT-related matters. Support the preparation of VAT risk assessments and develop mitigating strategies. Assist in the development and implementation of VAT automation and digitalization projects. Employer requirements Minimum 6 years of experience in VAT management, with a focus on the EMEA region. In-depth knowledge of VAT laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in key EMEA jurisdictions. Strong understanding of cross-border VAT issues, including intra-community supplies, imports/exports, and e-commerce. Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA) are highly desirable. Proven experience in dealing with VAT audits and disputes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
