Job Description

Position: Project Engineer Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Project: Mining - Potash Contract: 6-9 Month initial term (possibility of extension) Introduction Brunel is currently looking for a Project Engineer to support a leading mining project in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This role involves managing project execution, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring projects meet operational and safety standards. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing project execution, ensuring alignment with operational goals, and driving safety in mining processes. You will work closely with construction, procurement, and engineering teams to support project planning and execution, all while maintaining a strong focus on safety and sustainability. This role is part of the Fatality Elimination (FEL) Program. Responsibilities Support engineering and project management activities within a mining project (Potash Mine) Ensure effective coordination with construction teams, procurement, and site operations. Solve project-related challenges with minimal oversight, ensuring smooth execution. Develop and track project budgets, cost estimates, and progress reports. Manage project schedules and ensure milestones are met. Oversee procurement and contract development for site services and materials. Identify and mitigate project risks related to safety, cost, and execution. Provide direct support to construction execution and field engineering. Align with Fatality Elimination principles and mine safety standards. Work closely with Owner organizations to meet project requirements. Requirements Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field). Professional Engineer (P.Eng) and Project Management Professional (PMP) 5–10 years of experience in mining projects with direct site and construction exposure. Strong knowledge of cost estimation, scheduling, and procurement processes. Experience working within Owner organizations or major mining companies is an asset. Proven ability to engage stakeholders and coordinate project teams. Strong understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies. What We Offer Why work with Brunel?
