Renewables Investment Associate Miejsce pracy: Warszawa Recruitment for For our client, a leading company in the social infrastructure sector, we are looking for a highly skilled individual to join the Renewables team. The company has a strong track record in developing, owning, and managing high-quality projects, with an investment portfolio under management of approximately £1bn. Renewable energy is a key part of our client's future growth strategy, with development partnerships in the UK and Poland, and a pipeline exceeding 3GW. This role within the Partnerships division offers an opportunity to contribute to the strategic development and execution of the company's renewable energy initiatives. Your responsibilities You'll be a highly motivated individual with a mandate to help grow our Client renewables business through supporting origination, execution and development activities. Your role will involve: Supporting the team in the comprehensive oversight and management of existing operating businesses in Poland, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. This will include: i) Leading asset management efforts on development, operational and commercial / strategic matters, leading regular liaisons with key stakeholders and reporting to senior leadership on key issues and opportunities, ii) Conducting in-depth analysis and review of strategic business plans / budgets and preparation of critical assessments of management's projections to support informed strategic planning and decision-making, and iii) Assisting the Finance Team in managing the performance of assets. Provide technical assistance in the development and management of renewable energy projects pipeline in Poland. Key responsibilities include: i) Oversight of development & asset management activities of existing renewable energy assets, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic and operational objectives, ii) Assisting in reviewing and negotiating EPC and O&M contracts, as well as evaluating technical advisers reports, iii) Supporting the team in financial modelling activities for investment appraisals purposes and business plan / budget reviews. Preparation and presentation of internal materials related to investment opportunities as well as ad-hoc renewables business growth strategy papers, for the benefit of the senior leadership team and investment committees. Fostering strong working relationships with partners and key stakeholders. This includes liaising and working with partners, contractors, external consultants and other key project stakeholders. Well-rounded knowledge of the European and Polish Renewable Energy market dynamics and its long-term impact on operating businesses. Employer requirements This person will have strong communication skills both verbally and written. The candidate will show themselves to have the ability to combine creative, innovative and commercial thinking with a sound appreciation of the need for strong process. Key skills to perform the job include: Very strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to develop collaborative relationships with partners and key stakeholders (internal and external). Strong numerical and financial modelling skills, as well as commercial acumen to identify and mitigate risks and understand the various interfaces across a development and an operating assets / business. A good understanding of development appraisals and key funding metrics. min.3 years professional experience in the renewable energy sector (rooftop and ground mounted solar, heat pumps and battery storage would be beneficial). A good understanding of key commercial drivers in relation to existing assets and new transactions, including key drivers for value enhancement. An Engineering degree or a degree in a similar discipline. Bilingual in both Polish and English language is required. The position will be based in Poland with flexibility to travel and flexible working arrangements as required.
